Editing

During the editing of the clips, we decided to slow down the clip to 35%, and add titles at the beginning of the clip. These titles include the name of the clip, the definition of the clip as well as our names.

This site is very basic, and is suitable for a younger user, however I think it would be able to give our clip an appropriate article.

Adding a Newspaper Article

We have also came up with the idea that creating a newspaper article to make the clip more convincable. To further this idea I have been looking through sites to create a suitable newspaper article, and have found this wesbite;

Title

For the clip, we plan to provide a definition.
We have yet to decide which particular defintion we shall use. The suggestions are;
1.
the intentional taking of one's own life.
2.
destruction of one's own interests or prospects: Buying that house was financial suicide.
3.
a person who intentionally takes his or her own life.

Information

We are going to input statistics on the clips, to give the viewer a background information.
This includes;
1) One million people, per year commit suicide in the world - that's one death every fourty seconds.
2) Over 90% of people commit suicide suffer from a mental disorder or substance abuse.

Naming The Clip.

We're considering to call our clip 'Sucidal' or 'Annihilation'. As it is to the point, and gives the audience an idea of what the clip is going to be about.

We have chosen a song we will use in the clip. The song is Slow Life By Grizzly Bear.

We have chosen this song because it adds eeriness, and has perfect lyrics that suit the mood of the our clip.

Pictures.

These images are the type of which we could use in the clip, as it could show that they were happy, but then something changed between them to make them angry, creating tension, and therefore giving a reason why the girl would have been on top of the building.

Letter suggestion.

This is the type of letter that could be used for the clip, as it signifies importance, so a glimpse of the words on the page would give the audience the impression of why the girl would be on top of the building in the first place.

Adding pictures and images.

We have been considering adding and editing pictures into the clip, to represent memories and give a background to the two characters. This is so the audience would be able to get an idea of why the girl is going to jump. These images would be added to when the man is running up the stairs, so that the audience is able to see what he is thinking and relate to his past memories with the girl.

Possibilty of having to film more

We have discovered that we may not have enough footage to be able to convey the story we want, therefore we are considering to film again - to add on more footage at the end.
We would like to add one last shot of the girl's face reacting to the guy telling her not to jump, we would like to do this by having a close up of the girls face, turning round and looking panicked also trying to explain why she needs to jump!

Psychologist Scene - Maddy Bellingham

This is the type of layout I imagine for the psychologist scene.

To have Lucy lying on the sofa dicussing her problems to me as the psychologist.

Although the scene would look a lot more modern then what this picture protarys.

For example Lucy would be laying on a sofa in more modern clothing.

While I would be sitting infront of her, not behind her.

Issues of the film by Maddy Bellingham

The filming is great, all shot's are perfect.
However while editing the film I've noticed that the film is not long enough. Therefore I think we need to film again and add in more shots.
For example:
- Add in more shots of Lucy's face and actually show her about to jump.
- Add in the scene of Lucy talking to me dicussing her issues.

I will need to dicuss more with the group but think everyone will agree.

This is what I wore minus the necklace. We wanted something quiet plain, as like she doesn't want attention drawn too herself. Even though she is on top of a building. I liked it because it was simple and it worked.

This is what Sam wore, a black blazer a white shirt and jeans, onyl te blazer was open, not done up. We wanted a smart look but not too formal. So we choose this. Makes the person wearing it look like he knows what he is doing but isn't the bad guy.

What happend at filming

Everything went exactly to plan on filming except for costume, i wore a white top black trousers and black cardigan. Sam wore a blazer adn white top and jeans.
I filmed the close ups and mid shots of sam running up the stairs, Maddy filmed the long shots of sam running up the stairs and suzannah filmed all of the scenes i was in.
Everyone got there at the right time and the weather was perfect, slightly dark and greyish.
Sam and me wore the right clothing he wore a blazer and shirt and i wore black and white.
We have not filmed the hypnotisizing scene yet because we dont know if we need it. Because all the shots we got seem to cover over 2 minutes. So we will see.
