I think were trying to fit too much into a 2 minute opening scene. So because I am on my own today am trying to think of how to fit enough into 2 minutes to give an idea of the film but not trying to fit a whole film into 2 minutes.
I personally like the idea of silence of the lambs style, running through a wood, then getting summond to something important. It gives an aura of importance and tension http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0102926/ This link is from IMDB description of the movie, actors involed.
Another idea I quite like is Sin city. The opening scene. Where it miss leads you, showing nothing is as it seems http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PgKFX9m8GAg&feature=related Quote'' She shivers in the wind like the last leaf on a dying tree. I let her hear my footsteps. She only goes stiff for a moment'' I really like the voice over in Sin city aswell.
I want to make sure there is an idea left for the rest of the film, so not alot given away in the first two minutes and it would leave you thinking.
